With an ever-changing need for fast and accurate data capture in design, construction, and building information, it is necessary to adapt to these unique challenges. Fishbeck routinely uses 3D laser scanning as the first step for planning and executing such projects. Data is collected and grouped into a “point cloud” database that can be viewed, manipulated, and analyzed as a 3D model in standard CAD systems. The result is a highly accurate digital twin that can be used to mine survey data for the creation of 2D and 3D maps and models. With its high-confidence capability, laser scanning can be used in many different industries, reducing overall project costs, downtime, and return visits.

Fishbeck routinely works with large and small communities to complete their Asset Management Programs using a flexible, client-based approach that allows us to tailor our methodology to each client’s needs, whether seeking a full-service approach or training, oversight, and consulting. Our staff are certified as GIS Certification Institute GIS Professionals, and we maintain current ESRI ArcGIS© and AutoCAD software licenses. We use real-time data collection and inspection procedures along with GPS-enabled equipment to help clients locate and document existing assets.
