WMU Grand Rapids Beltline Facility Renovation and Expansion
Offering primarily graduate level programs in business, engineering, health and human services, education, and counseling; Western Michigan University's expansion of their Grand Rapids campus building was needed to accommodate future growth of these educational programs.
The 43,235-sf, 3-story facility offers classrooms, computer labs, distance education rooms, and banquet facilities available for private rental. FTCH designed selective architecture, and interiors and furniture design focused on University branding and graduate student environments. In addition, mechanical and electrical building systems received comprehensive renovations including new HVAC equipment and controls, new electrical infrastructure, and lighting.
