Muskegon Chemical Superfund Site Groundwater Remediation, CVOCs

A one-half mile long groundwater CVOC plume, originating from a source area associated with a former chemical manufacturing operation, vents to a high-quality surface water stream. FTCH became the prime consultant after unsuccessful attempts by our client and previous consultant to modify the remedial action plan from an active pump and treat system to monitored natural attenuation (MNA) remedy. FTCH provided the technical basis, develop a revised MNA plan, and is currently providing required monitoring and reporting services at a significant cost saving to the prior remedy.
