Ecological Services and Regulatory Oversight
Meridian Charter Township is a progressive community with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. They have adopted wetland and land preservation ordinances and through their land preservation program, the Township preserves and protects 740 acres of high-quality natural area. Through a standing contract, FTCH provides ecological services and regulatory oversight, allowing the Township to effectively manage its natural resource programs.
As the Township’s environmental consultant, FTCH provides a variety of services, including wetland boundary delineation, confirmation of previously delineated boundaries, and recommendations for permit decisions. FTCH also evaluates natural resources and habitat values, and has prepared numerous stewardship plans and invasive species control plans for the Township’s land preservation areas.
