Ludington Washington Avenue Bridge Replacement

FTCH provided full construction engineering services to reconstruct the Washington Avenue bridge. This $2.1 million, MDOT Local Agency project consisted of completely removing and replacing the existing structure. The new bridge, over a bayou off Pere Marquette Lake, is a 3-span, 211-foot-long structure on galvanized steel piles. Work also included reconstructing approach pavements, implementing drainage improvements, relocating existing water main, and constructing a scenic overlook. Coordination with the adjacent marina and existing overhead utilities was a key component of this project.
