Locust Lake Lift Station Improvements
Clermont County, Ohio experienced recurring capacity issues at the Locust Lake lift station that required pumps to be brought onsite during significant rainfall. In addition, the station lacks emergency back-up power in the event of a power outage. This required replacement of equipment with larger capacity pumps and emergency power capabilities.
FTCH developed a flow monitoring plan for the Clermont County Water Resources Department that determined the lift station’s maximum capacity needs and identified sections of the collection system where excessive wet weather flows were being captured. The station is located in a neighborhood; therefore, its appearance was designed to be aesthetically pleasing and allow for limited noise from the stations when emergency power is utilized.
