Grand Haven Community Center

The City of Grand Haven’s existing community center was constructed in the early 1960s to provide a gathering place that promoted enrichment through the arts. FTCH studied the existing building and prepared a renovation design that improved the building’s ability to display art, reconfigured the interior to be flexible and accommodate meeting space, created a new lobby and building entrance, and designed a new catering kitchen.

The newly renovated community center offers expanded space for the local community, providing space for meetings and special events that can accommodate up to 450 people. The center also features a newly renovated space for the North Ottawa Community Council on Aging, featuring a fully equipped catering kitchen.

This project was designed and constructed by FTCH using an integrated construction management approach that fully integrated architectural, engineering, interior design, and construction management services.

FTCH’s integrated services approach afforded the City single-source delivery for all project aspects.
