CS Mott Children’s and VonVoigtlander Women’s Hospital Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Smaller projects sometimes offer many challenges. The design of a new cardiac catheterization suite in this new hospital required all FTCH disciplines to work closely with the medical team, facilities engineers, and the general contractor to ensure all details were worked out prior to beginning construction. This suite was constructed while the floor was entirely occupied by patients. Careful consideration was given to the mechanical system design and the design for the structural support of the equipment. Space restrictions required planning for equipment and ceiling systems in great detail. FTCH provided cost estimating within 3% of the final construction cost.
