City of Coldwater Wastewater System Improvements
A thorough assessment of Coldwater’s collection system and WWTP resulted in plant improvements. FTCH selected the IFAS process because of its lower capital investment. This process also provided efficient use of energy, maintained current O&M requirements for secondary treatment, and provided reliable treatment of ammonia-nitrogen.
The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities major wastewater system improvements project included installation of an integrated fixed film in activated cludge process, new turbo aeration blowers, aeration control, 3,500 feet of sanitary sewer replacement, and 1,000 lineal feet of cured-in-place pipe lining.
FTCH worked with the City through all project phases, from conceptual planning through design and funding, in addition to providing construction and operations training and serving as the construction manager at-risk. FTCH's integrated services provided the City single-source accountability for project quality, cost, delivery, and performance.
