Water Security

FTC&H is uniquely qualified to perform each of the three phases of security assessment, planning, and design. FTC&H personnel have been trained in the Risk Assessment Methodology for Water (RAM-W), asdeveloped by Sandia National Laboratories, and as supported by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and American Water Works Association (AWWA). FTC&H is also trained in other methodologies for performing vulnerability assessments (VAs) such that we can apply the most appropriate methodology to your water system.

VA Services

  • Characterize Physical Site and Assess Existing Physical Security Systems
  • Assess Existing Electronic Security Features
  • Evaluate Existing SCADA System Security
  • Evaluate Existing Security Procedures and Policies
  • Perform RAM-W Methodology
  • Perform RAM-W for Small and Medium Water Systems 
  • Perform NRWA’s Security and Emergency Management System (SEMS) for VAs and Enforcement Response Plans (ERPs)

 

ERP Services

  • Evaluate Existing Contingency Plan and/or ERP for Water Facilities
  • Update Current Contingency Plan to an ERP and Incorporate Findings from VA
  • Incorporate City and/or County Emergency Preparedness Procedures
  • Assist with Table Top and/or Full-Scale Training Exercises
