Water Security
With
the passage of the Bioterrorism Act of 2002 (PL 107-188), water utilities
serving 3,300 people or more are required to conduct vulnerability
assessments (VAs), update emergency operation plans (EOPs), and perform
security enhancement planning/design.
FTC&H is uniquely qualified to perform each of the three phases
of security assessment, planning, and design.
FTC&H personnel have been trained in the Risk Assessment Methodology
for Water (RAM-W), as developed by Sandia National Laboratories, and
as supported by the U.S.
EPA and AWWA. FTC&H is also trained in other methodologies for
performing VAs so that we can apply the most appropriate methodology
to your water system.
