United Way/Earth Day Celebration BBQ

FTC&H will be hosting a United Way BBQ for employees during lunch. A representative from CompRenew Environmental will be attending in celebration of Earth Day and will give a short presentation on recycling electronics.  All proceeds for the lunch goes to United Way.

Celebrate Earth Day 2012 – Out & About

FTC&H staff will get out and about in the community by helping our partner school, CA Frost, create a nature trail. FTC&H staff will be clearing brush, hauling woodchips, and work on the vegetable garden beds.

Facing Racism Program

As a part of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce’s Diversity Initiative and Programs, FTC&H will host a 2-Day Facing Racism Program.

'No Impact Man' Screening 

In continued celebration of Earth Day, FTC&H will hold a "brown bag" lunch presenting the movie No Impact Man. The movie follows Colin Beavan and his family and their journey on how they completely eliminated their personal impact on the environment for a year. FTC&H employees will also be introduced to the No Impact Project experiment and find out how the experiment can give them a chance to see what a difference no-impact living can have on their quality of life.
