Senior Associate and Associate Promotions
FTC&H is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Mary Crosby-Davies to Senior Associate and the promotions of Ms. Susan T. Borgeson, Mr. Thomas L. Gray, P.E., and Mr. John C. Rafter, P.E., BCEE to Associate.
Mary Crosby-Davies, a Senior Chemist, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Aquinas College. Ms. Crosby-Davies has served in key positions in the firm's Remediation Department and helped develop and implement the department's quality control program and data management system. In addition, she coordinates field sampling activities and laboratory testing, and provides technical review and validation of laboratory data. Ms. Crosby-Davies is affiliated with the American Chemical Society, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA).
Susan T. Borgeson joined FTC&H in 2001 and serves in the position of Marketing Operations Manager. Ms. Borgeson functions as personnel group leader, oversees public relations efforts, manages departmental budgets, and works with the firm's Governmental, National Accounts, and Sustainable Design service groups on proposals and other marketing-related items. Additionally, Ms. Borgeson was instrumental in developing and facilitating the firm's first FacilityWISE ™ Symposium, an intensive, annual seminar geared for national clients, to help them reduce facility design, construction, and operating costs.
Thomas L. Gray, P.E., a Senior Civil Engineer, graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Gray provides engineering assistance and construction administration services for large Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) projects, and is currently working on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of M-10, including 39 bridges. Mr. Gray has served as Project Manager on various projects including the ongoing design of Beech Street Bridge over the Red Cedar River in Lansing and the award-winning East Grand River Bridge, which was named Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association.
Mr. John C. Rafter, P.E., BCEE, joined FTC&H in 1999 as a Senior Project Manager. Mr. Rafter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and is a registered professional engineer in Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Pennsylvania; he is also a Board Certified Environmental Engineer. Mr. Rafter is a technical team leader in FTC&H's Process Department and has been involved with numerous projects; most recently, as the Project Manager for the City of Bad Axe Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Upgrades. Mr. Rafter currently manages the $11 million City of Niles WWTP Upgrade, disinfection improvements for the City of Mackinac Island and Grand Haven/Spring Lake WWTPs, and a master plan for the City of Reed City's WWTP.
